Only me

Not so often someone comes across your timeline and takes your breath away
You daydream about being in their life and how to get their attention your way
Messages, compliments you're trying to throw everything to spark interest
Just doing enough to go by because you want to avoid being hurt and laid to rest

Lay it all on the line instead of keeping it all in (life is short)
Let that person know how you feel but keep some love within
Loving yourself at your best before venturing into unknown lands
And if that person has any sort of interests, maybe a show of hands

There's no secret about meeting or finding that one special person in life
Everyone has a story to tell someday about how they met their future husband or wife
To my future self, I say keep going and push through the hardships and mistakes still being made
But stay true to yourself because people want to see the authentic you instead of one big fake

There's a time and place for everything and I want to believe that is true to this day
Because through all the hard reality, the sun will shine again someday
Might take a while as nothing is ever given in life with all the struggles & pain
Only the harshest path leads to the best results and outcomes to gain
