Waters Deep.

Luminary 1990 (Scarborough)

Eyes,
Shallow,
But waters deep,

Pools,
Of tears,
Never shed,

A heart,
Wronged,
And not right,

Was the well,
Tears to weep,
Were left,

A hole,
None filled,
Has kept.

About this poem

A person heart is hurt and broken as they feel wronged in life from a lover. They bottle up their emotions, never releasing pain or tears, and their heart remains broken, as a deep hole which they keep their pain (tears) in.
