Writing Poems

Sitting here in my home
looking at me write this poem

I wonder where the words come from
Do I think them cause I'm smart
or do I copy them cause I'm dumb?

In-be-tween each little pause
as I'm thinking up the next clause
I don't know what I'm going to say
or if I'm coming or going away

In fact I barley know how to write
but I must have some insight

And sure enough when I am done
looking at the total sum
of all the verse that I have written
be it about Man,God or Kitten

I just can't help but stop and think
that this is more than paper and ink
with silly words all over it
I always think I have a hit!

And although some will disagree
it really doesn't  bother me
