A New Flame Lit

Looking deep into your eyes
I get lost somewhere in your mind
I've seen so much in so little time
Just by looking into your eyes
All these happy feelings locked up inside
Bouncing around in my heart
Just waiting to come out
Hopefully you have what it takes
What it takes to fill my heart
All those little empty spaces
All those itty bitty cracks
I'm not wanting to put all this on you
Only if you accept what I have to offer
Because deeper inside there's so much
So much more I am wanting you to see
Grasping the fact that his could be real
None of this would have started
If you hadn't lit the flame in my heart
All this happened just looking deep into your eyes.

About this poem

My flame was slowly burning out and then I met the girl who re-lit my flame.
