New Year

As year's end draws near
Soon cast atop last
Reflect and foresee
Look forth and look past

The times made before them
And times to be made
The path that's been traveled
The path to be laid

Each year left behind us
Lie another ahead
Like the words that were spoken
And the words not yet said

The past though most certain
Lay it's troubles to bed
Make most of the New Year
And the good times ahead
