UNREQUITED LOVE

Seagirl 2001 (Bharuch)

I can't tell what I have for her,
She's like a tempting flower,
Whom I want so much to devour.
She lures me into her labyrinth like scent,
I am all ready to be mesmerized by that,
She has taken the authority,
And has set my heart on fire.
I want to keep this warmth forever,
Even if that makes me burn into ashes,
She's been making me lose control,
This madness being the reason I feel alive.
She's not just a pretty flower,
Surrounded by thorns all over her,
She doesn't want anyone to get hurt,
Of the thorns she holds with her,
They are present to protect her from,
The evils, who once tried to pluck her.
I can never tell her about my feelings,
Not in the fear to get hurt by her,
But what if she withers away,
The day I confess to her?
I want her to stay always bloomed,
If my feelings cause her to fade,
Then I'd rather my love remains
Unrequited.
