For you

fallen too deep
even light has lost hope
I am reaching out my hand
but for whom?

will this wait ever cease,
the pain it accompanies
the heart can't take anymore
for you, it has turned sore

the sun cannot contain
the moon has ceased
the green is fading
even the stars have bid farewell

only a few moments remain
The final breaths completed
blood has stopped flowing
yet the heart beats, for you still

About this poem

A poem reflecting a way a heart yearns for someone, even when it has lost its vessel. For love is so strong, it dares to offend mortality

Medical student at AFMC, PUNE. The beauty is not the poem, but how the reader resonates with it. My only hope is that you will dwell in the verse that I can't come out of. Buckle up, trust me you will love it in here. I will be with you in every path you choose. more…
