He Cries Out

Afraid of every sound
To be rescued is profound
People pass him by
Most ignore his cry
He wonders if they even care
About his despair
Suddenly he cries out
And he knows without a doubt
They are all lost too
They're lost too
Their words he's so afraid
Block his ears, the sound won't fade
If he looks away
He knows they'll betray
The trust he put in them
All they do is condemn
Suddenly he cries out
And he knows without a doubt
They are all confused
They're all confused
Trying to hide their pain
His death is their gain
His misery they mislay
So they can all say
Poor soul caused his own
The seed he had sown
Suddenly he cries out
He knows without a doubt
Their pain eats them alive
Hurting others to thrive
Everyone wants to survive
No one wants to be deprived
We all want to feel alive
It feels good to divide
Suddenly he cries out
Pain makes me feel alive!
I will survive!
I will survive!
