That's Life

don't talk just hold it close to your chest
keep quiet, you know silence for the best
open up tell em exactly what a mess
and you'll find they all trust you even less
don't talk keep it all to yourself
take them feelings put em up on a shelf
open up and you won't get any help
just eyeballs staring back at you, welp

that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh
that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh
that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh

I've learned in life you gotta shut the f*ck up
because the moment that you give opinions is the moment you get stuck
alone, or at home, there's no one to depend on but you
feeling ostracized abandoned and abused?
ya you wanna go away move out to Timbuktu
go for it, run for it, I wish you best of luck
try and find happiness in sex, theft, or drug

that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh
that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh
that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh

its a warzone in my mind, my heart, and in my soul
an exercise in futility making happiness a goal
I look up at the sky and wish that it would rain
I pray to god hoping he's real so he can take away this pain
if life is what you make it I got a twisted fucked up mind
cause my life is utter chaos and the fun is hard to find
I've been working and I'm slaving and got nothing much to show
but I guess ill keep on struggling, cause the struggles all I know

that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh
that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh
that's life, that's strife, that's like, not right, ya I know oh oh
