Should I apologise for what my eyes did not see
I was raised upon this land and there's no place I would rather be
I am not the only one, I am just the settlers son

I am just the settlers son
I was born upon this land by fate
I had no say in what was done
I had no hand in all the hate

It was wrong what went on back then
And I can only sympathize  
Should history repeat again?
Based on what meets the eyes
