I am tired
Very very tired
I now want to rest
And I need it now

I want to drop the weight of the world
From my weak and broken shoulders
To ease the burden of life
From my heavily bent back

I want to lose the shackles of poverty
To break the chains of economic slavery
To release the iron binds of physical misery
And open the floodgates of pent-up frustrations

I want to be physically secure
To enjoy psychological calm
To feel socially safe
To know the joy of belonging

I want to slow down my heartbeat
To heal my battered spirit
To calm down my mind
And massage my sore body

I want to rest.
