My pain

My pain spills like ink
The blood of a wounded pen
It smudges all the good things
And blots the life out of me

My pain splits like a headache
Bites like a migraine
And staggers like dizziness
Boring like a drill into my soul

My pain sears like lightning
Roars like thunder
And drenches like rain
A wailing banshee of doom

My pain is a festering wound
A gangrenous wound
And a wounded infection
That amputates my very heart

My pain is a loud ambulance siren
A four O'clock alarm
And a deafening tsunami warning
The klarkson wail of fire

My pain is a hot fire
It burns an angry green
And devours whole forests
A flaming demon from hell
