Tired

It is Christmas Day
A Holy Day
The Holiest of Days
My Favorite Day
The joy that always was escapes me today

I feel so tired
Tired of the fight
Tired of the hurt
Tired of the aches
The weight is heavy, some days too heavy

Disillusionment
Despair
Disappoint
Doubt
Feeling so at odds with a day such as this

Heart compressed
Heart distressed
Heart depressed
Heart stressed
Heart rate slowing.. getting flatter each day

I cannot give in
Cannot let Darkness win
Must strive for Light
Must continue in Hope
Must look to the One who give strength

Christ my Lord, Savior of the world 'born' on this Day.

Yes, yes. Lift up the name of Jesus. Swim against the present current of naysaying poems. It becomes enhancing WORSHIP THROUGH YOU.

Your description is effective; this season can be heavy and dark. May Spring arrive soon.
