Too Quick To Fetch And Please

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Too...
Wishy.
Too...
If-y.
And too quick to fetch anything,
Thrown to return...
Back to someone unqualified to lead.
Yet will do it anyway,
Just to lick a bone.
Under a cape to not have shown,
Although something there...
To no one else known,
Has all competing to receive...
Willing,
To bend over...
With a fighting amongst themselves.
Displaying their bare behinds.
Hoping to pleasure the mind of a maniac!

'What on Earth,
Has been done that has become...
So addictive?
And craving to stay,
Wanting more of this nonsense?'

'Well...
Who knows.
Some prefer the taste and flavor of B.S.
While others crave an attention to get.
Just for the notoriety.
Regardless of the smell of it.
As long as the association,
Achieves for them a book deal.
And plenty of TV news coverage!'

'Come on.
No one would stoop that low.'

'I once would have agreed,
With that assessment.
Until I witnessed to observe to see publicly,
Crowds of people...
Fighting amongst themselves,
In the hope that the baring of their butts...
Would bring them notoriety!'

'That's crazy!'

'Well...
As the World turns,
People believe themselves...
To be bold and beautiful.
And believe it or not,
These are The Days of Our Lives!'
