Realisation

Dreary dread at the prospect of your disinterest;
deep darkness at the chasm of your belligerent interests.

The giant sleeps,
Weep!

"Freedom a'las'!";
tears trickled upon the grass;
mental restraints, smashed!

Wind as a guide,
sudden realisation abide,
all thoughts and feelings now compiled.

What to do;
where to go;
what will happen?

The giants chains pulled me along,
now alone,
I'm owned by none.

Search for new chains,
or return to the previous lane?

Freedom leading to disarray;
to the freed dismay.

Is it natural;
is it nature?

The holy view of freedom now desecrated,
the previous luxurious world viewed now as desolate.

Off I returned;
never achieving the yearned.
