Grown Faith
His divine power has granted,
For all things that pertain to life;
That godliness has enchanted,
While we are coping with the strife.
For His glory and excellence,
His precious great assurances;
As His blessings in abundance,
For overcoming all hindrances.
Partakers of divine nature,
To escape sinful desires;
Makes each of us a new creature,
In which His doctrine requires.
Make every effort to append,
Adding to your faith more virtue;
Wisdom and knowledge without end,
That always is remaining true.
For knowledge brings you temperance,
As temperance will bring patience;
And patience will bring tolerance,
Through having godly diligence.
It gives brotherly affection,
Brotherly affection with love;
Having a godly interjection,
From blessings flowing from above.
These things are yours and will increase,
For not becoming infected;
By vain knowledge that does not cease,
Of the stone that was rejected.
Whoever lacks these qualities,
Are so nearsighted to be blind;
They will fill with iniquities,
Finding themselves as misaligned.
So be diligent to confirm,
For your calling and election;
God has made it to be a perm,
From many for the selection.
You will be richly provided,
Upon entering His Kingdom;
An everlasting and united,
Being indulged in His wisdom.
