PAYING FOR THE SINS OF MY UNKNOWN FATHER

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I met you once along time ago so many questions that I wanted to ask you. you kept side stepping me through out the years hoping the truth of the answers like the silience inside of a storm they would disappear

Like a child playing hide and go seek I found you but you were in a wheelchair unable to speak so theses lingering questions remain unanswered it took me along time to forgive you for not being there but my mother told me boy that is his M.O. he just gets up and like the morning sun disappears

Hell now your dead and even though I am good with that
I ask myself who the f*ck am I
My long lost sister told me you may look like your mother but you act and think just like dad
no one will never understand how that made me burn with anger

Then I thought to myself is this the reason that now I am left paying for the sins of my unknown father
