Ezekiel 34…Imagine

Douglas Blair 1951 (London)

The Prophet was dreaming
Or maybe right on.
He saw a New Zion
Where hostiles were gone.
Where sieging and starving
Were things of the past.
Where justice and kindness
Were things that would last.
And this time the Shepherd
Was Almighty God.
The hirelings and show-offs
Removed by His prod.
And wanderings, sicknesses
Bullying done.
The Shepherd was kindly
And helped by God’s Son.
And friends just imagine
In faith, if you could.
The sheep were contented
And slept in the Wood.
Yes forest, the milieu
Of Wolves vicious bite.
But safe now, completely.
Yes, even at Night.
