Earths Dirt

April Suzanne Risch 1978 (Oceanside CA)

Earth's dirt
Hearing the call
of the wild and undiscovered
Perfectly demonstrated
by the wolves howling at the moon
In appreciation of just enough
Light provided to discover
Thier blessings

Feeling an overwhelming tidal wave
Of warmth an emotions
suddenly consume her
As this sudden rush begins to recede
She grabs for something
solid to hold,
instead she slips
and hits the deep waters

Coming back up,
she's a little bit more
Emotionally matured

Seasoned and matured through
Earth's dirt, and winds...
Cleansed by having trust
while in them waters

Hearing a silent, fading whisper
In it she hears "feel yourself
inside the rush of love and,
with your arms, don't let go"

Amen
