January 1 2000

Joseph Berolo 1934 (Bogotá)

January 1st. 2000

Lost I am in the immensity of my fate,
dazed by the passing of my time,
alone in the sandy space deserted
left by Him behind.

He made me and all I am—
devoid of light another to brighten life,
his, forged on hardy labors,
frontiers past and present days.

Thus I recall He who was immense
in the trifle instant of his life—
the entire world was his blue encounter

with his God... yet, his prompt departure
upon his sowed dream, left me
longing with the myth

My  quest has been always
to seek the heavens
and touch the face of GOD.
Perhaps,
my  cry  will be heard
asking HIM for understanding.

About this poem

My quest has been always to seek the heavens and touch the face of GOD. Perhaps, my cry will be heard asking HIM for understanding.
