Underneath the Cherry Blossom Tree
There is a spot under the Cherry Blossom tree,
Where everything is meant to be okay.
Where all your thoughts disappear,
Quite nicer than the rest of the world displays.
Large quantities of petals fall,
Leaving an outline of you on the ground.
You can stare at them for as long as needed,
But, be ready to leave before they go brown.
Maybe you can invite a friend,
So you can all watch while the tree decays.
But, no need to worry,
You were told everything would be okay.
About this poem
This poem is a big message about how I tend to help other people, but never get the same treatment in return. I am the cherry blossom tree in this poem. People come to me because they know i will help them feel safe and okay, help them heal. I put so much effort into my other friends that I never seem to care for myself. The falling petals is a symbol of myself falling apart for these people. They always stay long enough for myself to listen to them and give advice, but they always leave when I need help, a. k.a the leaves turning brown in this poem. The rest of the peon is mostly me explaining how multiple people watch me fall a part without saying anything, but only because I told THEM it would be okay, so they kind of just believe I will be well too. more »
