Turning Grey.

I rob myself of night and day,
In dark I lie and waste away.
The months they come and years they fade,
I see my eyes are turning grey.

I know myself too well to pray,
My empty words will fall in vain.
The days they leave, and weeks they change,
I see my heart is turning grey.

I see my death as sweet escape,
Lay roses on my resting place,
The minutes tick, and hours race,
I see my skin is turning grey.

Right here I plant my final grave,
In tangled roots and hollow caves.
I burrow deep and hide my face,
I see my life has turned to grey.
