Sea

The water is too cold,
The water is too hot.

I always reply to that.
And everyone enjoying the sea
will look at me with confusion
before they go away.

I watch them enjoy the sea
while I'm on the shore,
They're laughing.
The shark on my mind won't let me
And I'm at fault, too.

I wonder what the sea truly feels like.
Is it too cold like what I imagine?
Is it too hot like what I imagine?
Or is it warm?

About this poem

It's about a person who is scared to take a step and keeps holding back because fears don't let him/her. While everyone enjoying the sea, it wonders him/her what the sea truly feels like.
