Cell Phone Mania

People think of me
as a man-made bliss,
but they don’t realise that while engrossed in me,
numerous things they miss.

Wrong use of me
fills trash in their heads.
They don’t sleep at night
though laying on their beds.

Eyes all straining
with dryness and pain,
but still hands not leaving me
as if tied with a chain.

Wrapping me with fashion
and protecting me with glass,
and stretch their pockets
to maintain their class.

If, by chance, I break
their heart comes out.
“Again have to spend bucks on it”,
this is what they shout.

I didn’t open my eyes in this world
to make you sleep forever.
I was born here
to make remotes feel together.

Though I am superior today
but I also have many pitfalls.
If I suicide when you torture me,
you may die with me answering your calls.

I gave you the whole world in your hands
but you destroyed it my friend.
“You are responsible because you have it to me”,
that’s what you pretend.

You made me
and I destroyed you all.
If that’s what you think,
why do you cry when I fall?

About this poem

In this tech savy erra people have been engrossed in their smartphones that they fail to live their real life to the fullest. It was invented to make things such as contacting each other easier for us but now it has turned into an ediction and then we blame them for our own faults.
