DARKLING

Darkling creatures hiding
Just beyond your sight,
Glance ever so slowly to see
Them, in the corner of your eye.

Loathsome spirit entities
Hide in shadows all their own,
Dwelling nearby yet unseen
Within your suburban home.

Obscure, unknowable things
Gliding ghostly round your room,
Avoiding the glaring sunlight
Preferring to dwell within gloom.

Darkling events are happening
Wherever they are all unseen,
Never where you are right now
But where you just have been.

Darkling beings whispering
Just beyond any human hearing,
Sending nightmare images
Inside your head, so searing.

Unseen, as if in the darkness
Darkling fiends are haunting,
Teasing, touching, chittering
Shadowy figures are taunting.

Playful yet deceitful figures
Invading your life and being,
Centimetres beyond your sight
Whispery, waffling unseeing.

Darkling creatures hiding
In angles just beyond your view,
Sliding silently from just behind
Carefully sneaking up on you.
