EMOTIONS

A canyon of shadows
Awaiting the arrival of my subconscious
Where ancient conflicts
Destroy men of might and valor
A prison which I am both warden and prisoner
For I have perfectly designed this torment
To perform with a twisted ambition
And encourage the seeds of hope
To grow the fermented fruits of the vine
 that I may be consumed, weighted
With the weariness of self-pity, yet Drunk
with the temporary comfort of being numb
And unaccountable
Only in this canyon
This canyon of withering purpose
Can I be everything, and nothing at all
