My mind: Depression

My mind: Depression

Invasive thoughts flood through my brain,
Like a tidal wave, rising again and again,
You say that I’m weak, my mind does agree,
Reminding me tenfold, as I beg and I plea.

Please won’t you stop, I cannot cope,
Still my mind tightens up the rope,
‘You are alone, no one wants you’
My vision blurred, it feels so true.

I crumble inside, pushing away,
The people who love me. It’s better this way,
I am the burden. Why can’t they see?
They’ll only be better off without me.

Invasive thoughts flood through my brain,
A wave of destruction, causing so much pain,
My mind the controller, and I am the key,
My mind full of chaos, yet that chaos, is me..
