Reborn

Reborn, and like the new day her sun rose
As leaves crumbled and the flowers froze
Revived, and like water washed the brain
The darkness was falling out viens like rain
And it hurt, it would take time; so long
It was rage of fire, years of hanging on
It was not pretty but it was not fear
It was the present, coming on clear
The person who was and who became
The person who had to forgive herself sane
A room of a thousand mirrors turning to one
And in that one reflection, all the others run
It wasn't about herself anymore, her wants
There was no running from things that haunt
And there reborn, she held him born
Held him like nothing in her life, ever before
For then she had learned, miracles were real
In his world, was all she ever needed to heal

About this poem

This poems was inspired by my deceased Daughter and my living Son. I lost a full term baby girl in June 2017 and never thought I would be able to have another child. The universe is full of miracles when we let the light inside.
