Insignifiant

Neetha Gamage 1974 (Sri Lanka)

A commotion of weary veins
Trouble more than the pain
Pain of the loss
Insignificance marked
Everywhere looked and disembarked
Cloudy smoke gathered in a corner
Made the days ahead more heavier
Gloomy paths unease rides
Over gushing gutters and the splashing lashes
Waves of trouble -makers
Whipped and slashed over the shores of yesterday
Yesterday is gone gulped by the weary demon of hell
Tomorrow is a lovely bud growing in haste
Cajoled by the rough wind
Taken at the deep
Wind blows over like a song ,as usual
A fair pilgrimage
Crownless reign ,though
Many hours left unsung
A man reads a book of history
A lapse of time marked by the torn away papers
Which carried the most significance
Who consider them  worth ?
