A penny for your thoughts (Revised)

To go into your head, to see what I’d find.
I’d pay all the riches in the world, to go deep into your mind.
To have a vivid image of what runs through your head.
Would it be regrets?
Or words that were whispered to me last night while in bed.

Would it be of moments we spent together?
or of moments spent alone?
Are they thoughts of the present
or moments that are now long gone?
Whatever the case may be,
I wish that I could see
I’d pay a penny for your thoughts
Even the ones that are petty.

I’d pay my last cent to look through your eyes,
Would I be surprised?

The mind is the only secret diary that one person really has
Secrets from the future, present and past
A personal book kept in the head,
dedicated to yours truly,
So keep your penny.
I wouldn’t invade your personal space.
Because Sometimes what you’re thinking is obvious
and It’s written all over your face.
