THE DISTANCE BETWEEN I AND You.
The feelings birth in June
Held me in absolute tune.
Humming silent melodies of love
While the heavens smiled above.
Yet the distance between I and you
Makes me a constant weary tool.
Dining with you in my mind
Is an excruciating pain of its kind.
A jolly prisoner of distant loving
Held in chains of Ifs yet still falling.
Truly the distance between I and you
Has me in constant cold blue.
Our silent communication
Is brewing me to depression.
But my heart knows our love
Is one led by pure emotion,
A shared richness from above.
But the distance between I and you
Is one we will soon bid adieu.
