I Don’t Believe You

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Lord of lords and King of kings,
I know you’ll rise above all things.
You’ll help us overcome with grace.
Until we finally see your face.

If you don’t fear the Lord at all;
Then surely, you’re about to fall.
You open up your mouth to speak,
But still don’t love the One you seek.

So what good are the words you say?
When you’re about to fall away!
You lift your voice above God’s throne,
When you choose to speak on your own!

You’ve prophesied now go away,
I don’t believe a word you say!
Change your mind and turn around,
Come back to Me, where love abounds!
