No Time to Waste

Clinton herring 1951 (Lawton, Oklahoma)

The time is short, 6000 years,
two thousand since He left.
He’s coming soon to claim His own,
so hide within His cleft.

No time to waste, you need to know
the one who covers sin.
The King is He, incarnate love,
believe, for you, the win.

No time to waste, this age is gone,
and judgement’s on us all.
But Lord is He, a safety net,
to catch us from the fall.

No time to waste, be on your guard
from silly things of earth.
Find precious things in God’s Word,
He’ll grant you all they’re worth.

No time to waste, not found in Him,
lost soul to God forever.
Don’t find out at death – Too Late!
No other chance, not ever!

No time to waste to hear His call,
and open up your heart.
He loves you so; be found in Him,
New life will He impart.

No time to waste to gain your win.
Invite Him in your core.
His fellowship sweet, and infinite,
if you but open your door.
