Molested - Dimpho M

Dimpho M 2004 (Mafikeng)

A young girl cried for weeks
Her silent sobs turned into weeps
They didn’t know, assumed she’s weak
When they asked she said she was fine
Until the questions made her lose her mind
“I was raped! Used! Stripped off my pride!”
They were shocked and in awe
They didn’t know who to blame, take the fall
So they walked away and shrugged it off
“She’s lucky to be alive, she’s not dead”
What has society turned into ?!
How is rape a lesser misfortune than death
Don’t you know of the fears she lives with
She doesn’t look forward as she walks
She looks every direction as she’s alarmed
She’s told to cover up more
I guess they rape the clothes not the body
The fact is that harm was done
To the body, soul and mind
She was molested, so be kind .
