GOD

Cody Sabel 1987 (Little Chute)

"God?"

Chorus:

God. how can you give life say we can do everything but eat from a tree, when it became so you cursed a snake put pain on the woman and push your creation away, you loved then shoved told us to search after the push. God, which is it, so tell me how through the prophets in the bible am I spose to find you if all talk is death, we lived before we sinned dying to live people trippin it up. where you at, how I'm suppose to rise if a flaw of us you left an intention we fall, mutation into mutilation choice trait for Jesus to mutate annihilation, you want me by your side yet made Eve conceive leaving us to figure it out without you,

Verse X2:

every time I find you, I slip further away, everyone in my eyes don't see, I turned to darkness to find you, revelations I pursue

Chorus:

running around a mummy zombie dummy smart think'n trapped round we go, trying mind altercations brain delays unpredictable magnetic mind waves, fall'n deep in the trend movin faster to reach hell self-euthanasia, fuel up the dead death trying to die awake to waken' crash on you, I don't need to come down I'm high on you crashing into everything, lett'n loose the demon rage you encased me in nothing is ok, I want to believe in you yet before me is death lett'n life die, I want on your side yet all I see is cruelty I see why people choose the other side

Verse X2:

every time I find you, I slip further away, everyone in my eyes don't see, I turned to darkness to find you, revelations I pursue

Chorus:

only on word of mouth'n ona scroll you appear. deceptions' so easy your truth don't appear to guide me, maybe you gave us free will otherwise wee'd be a slave without the tree, even still you pulled the tree of life over the weight of knowledge we don't survive this way forever, we lived under your care now we dare mention you lest risen confliction, stand'n still humans mimic oblivion balance within no scale to outweigh, standing to move in charmed direction false pretense position driven by each other, lost the vision'n aspiration of an unspiced dish touché Centre birth Brulé, as if not having knowledge would make us happy and you content. God?
