I HATE HOSPITALS

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

Hooked to a machine
enabling  me to peacefully dream
my mouth is open with tubes up my nose and down my throat
my eyes are just not ready to scream

Hold me in your arms all night long at this moment i do not feel like myself I am not very strong

Please do not let the monsters come and get me wearing those God-awful scrubs if they shall come in the midst of the night I will carefully refuse and rip out these cords to run

The rules to the game are there are no rules to start a war with this awful food. this day I found as a surprise to me I held all that I find dear sometimes vacating my scared arms

After all of the darkness, the light was starting to break through the monster was not after me the monster was after you they had the wrong bed
