FAREWELL TO YESTERDAY

Farewell to all my yesterdays
Hello to a new day dawning,
Goodbye to long-gone happiness
Hello to misery and mourning.

Life can never be as you hope
Say hello to all your tomorrows,
Now yesterday is dead and gone
So welcome approaching horrors.

The horror of another daytime
The terror of some other morn,
When life was still so pleasant
You were glad to have been born.

But joy it seems will ever fade
And satisfaction can never last,
So prepare for your horrid future
And forget pleasures of your past.

Ancient wounds seem to never heal
And new hurts come along too soon,
Spelling perhaps the end of life
As all your hopes do turn to gloom.

Dreams of happiness are dead
But evil dreams do persist,
Dreams of sinful practices
That are impossible to resist.

Lascivious dreams abounding
Of Femme Fatales a'taunting,
Through the endless night,
Lurid dreams ever haunting.

Farewell to all my yesterdays
Goodbye to all of your hopes,
Untold misery is drawing near
Nightmare dreams approach.

THE END
