Politics

I am not set up for,
Politics.
I don't understand the concept of,
Politics.
The unnerving feeling of,
Politics.
The overdone action of,
Politics.
One word that is like nails on a chalkboard,
Politics.

Fake smiles,
Fake reassurance,
Overstated lies,
Overwhelming action behind closed doors,
Putting people in positions,
Where there is no way out.
Those people who are victims,
Are the ones to blame when things go wrong.

People buy into these political acclaimed persons.
I wonder why that is.
We talk about strengthening our community,
But nothing is done.
Some say,
Nothing can be done,
But yet I don't think they tried.
Politics.

About this poem

Politics are more than our views when it comes to the upcoming election. In the work places we are placed in, or the friend circle we see ourselves is also political. This is a poem where you can see yourself in that "political" placement.
