The Grandeur

Blessings come to us by asking through prayer.
A solemn request, our expressions we share.
An earnest appreciation through meaningful communication.
Communication with our Lord, oft aware.

Turn you ear to me, hear my prayer.
Listen, my praises to you, celebration in the air.
Purify my heart from the temporal life.
Release me, no more strife.

My path points towards you, the all merciful.
Searching, searching, my will to be close to you.
I so wish, so wish I knew of that wonderful hour.
The hour you promised, the hour of Qadar.

Searching, searching for the undisclosed.
So now I must pray every hour.

What would I ask for if I knew of the hour?
The same thing I ask from you every day,
To dwell in the garden you made for me,
Hour after hour.
