Unity in Jesus

Everything I have is yours and everything you have is mine.

I have your word and mind and heart,
But Lord for me it’s just a start.

I obey you when you tell me: Go!
But stumble when you tell me: Slow!

When I start I want to finish;
But in my strength all power’s diminished.

So now I’ll have to wait a time,
Until in me your power is mine.

If I try to make the Root obey;
I know that I have gone astray.

You are the vine; I’m just a branch!
I’m nothing unless you advance!
