You're A Story In My Book

You're like a story,

My fingers dragging along

the pages of the rivers it calls your veins,

scars that decorated you like fancy jewelry on a huntress in my fantasy book,

birthmarks that were put there by the kisses from the sun and the moon and your past life lovers,

and other oh so beautiful landmarks

I wish i could visit again and again.

Your voice is like my favorite song,

Played by a bard in this story,

It sits in my head,

even when i'm not listening

And it never goes away.

It's Like a long forgotten tune

That once brought me home after a hard day,

but now it just sits there as one of my old treasured relics or trophies,

that used to bring me joy.

Your eyes are like deep lakes separated by a bridge,

That i used to jump inside to relax my oh so weary and tired heart.

And i cherish this story in my book,

Although the ending wasn't written well and was rushed,

It will still remain my favorite story in my book, and it brings me joy to have shared it with you.

About this poem

This is one of the many poems i wrote in my younger years, it all was full of pain, bliss, love and feelings undescribable. But this one poem still reminds me of a close person, who sadly left this world because of me and the cruelty of the world which is simply unforgivable.
