The Age of Confusion

The clock's still ticking, my is still thinking,
Have so much to aspire, got so much to get inspired,
Still my mind is troublesome, got so many thoughts to execute, how can I have fun?
And cause of my personality I'm stated introvert and dumb,
With this performance pressure all around, there's a lot of fear and tension that surrounds,
Inside me there's being an evolution,
To be honest, this age feels like an era of confusion!!

In this trauma of emotional outburst, it gets so hard to decide who to trust,
With that look of judgement in eyes of all,
Sometimes giving up is what becomes my call,
This great hype of being a growing teen, has definitely shook my self esteem,
All the insecurities, social trauma, and the urge to follow my passion have formed a depressing fusion,
With all these puzzling high goals, this age feels like an era of confusion!!

I'm always upset without a reason to blame,
Friendship is a hard thing you know, so I've got a very few people for mine to claim,
I've become a child who's attracted by everything,
But at the end of the day is interested in nothing,
It's damn true that behind every happy smile,
Is a teen who cries alone at night,
There have been days when I had none to talk,
I wanted to share with my dearest but got hopeless seeing as away they walked,
A happy day with no tears and smiling faces feels like an illusion,
This age feels like an era of confusion,
A dreadful era of confusion!!

About this poem

Teenage is probably the most hardest yet most magical chapter of one's life....The high goals and the never ending expectations from a teen surely cause a tonne of anxiety and that's what this poem talks about:)
