SPAWN OF A NEW DAWN

They shut down the school ,
Saying a virus was on the way.
The government just imposed a rule ,
Saying study at home now all day.

Months has passed making me know,
How life could become so slow!
It gave me time to see my parents,
And see how they overcame impediments,
What I thought never existed,
Life I took so much for granted.

I now learned to clean,-
Germs on purchased packets, unseen….
Fill up water in inverter battery,
Learn a bit of practical chemistry..

Use social apps a bit lesser,
But still help my friends solve lessons better.
Help ma a bit with her cooking,
Learn how much water for rice and eggs boiling

I learned how to console grand parents
As I patiently hear their laments,
I now know a bit of how my parents manage money,
In this time of great scarcity,

Every week or so , we have a lockdown
But now it raises just a gentle frown
For life may never be the same again,
But a better person I am from then!
