Red Strings

sinagtala 2002 (biliran island)

Crossing cars on busy streets
And people are roaming around
But a heart only hears its beats
To a heart that beats with the same sound

Millions of people you've passed by
But you never know who's destined
The question crossed your mind "why?"
Because that is how they destined

Along the paths you see
Currently, they're happy together
Upon to know if meant to be?
If they stayed long with each other

A path of yours may cross to
Someone destined for you to know
But not meant to stay with you
Because both of you must let go

And there's someone's path to propose
That would lead to you
Strings with the same color of rose
Connected to me and you

But no one knows who's that who
Unless you tried to seek
You'll never know who's that who
If you just randomly pick

Because a lover would stay
If you let love do
But when your passion stray
Then a lover would leave you so.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because some random thought crossed my mind about love. The experience and stories made me realize different things about love.
