Red Bottle

A red Bottle

Juxtapose,
Ere you knock me down
Before all the world
My age, days, and yours
Mind not my tottered walk
It is the terror-walk of my gallant force
My drool is full of truth
I only dribble wits for you
A child from a home must be good
And before the night close of the door
Unruly imp should return

I can see well in the sky
My red bottles of wine
They are not made for a child
Except for his defiant heart
Your fury-fate, perhaps
Compelling you to my way
And for my calm look you stay
But my valliant one will rage
Behold it's a judgement day
For this insolent and naughty child
Who deserted a home
Of keen truth to taunt
The staggering slender strong

Little liability
Boy born yesterday
Jeering an affluent gale
From a parlour of bottles
Where he gulped ten times
And the last just half

Your scorn after me is long
Silly trouble, you will soon be lost
Ah, Its hem in your hand
There is no little regard
Little boy, you will cry...
You say it's a lie
Then pay heed to my fist
The furious fist of wrath
Before I count to three
Kindly release its tip
One twoo threeee
Yeh! My life, I'm peeled
Redish outburst of pain
A naughty wild scamp
An impudent feral child

Heaven, please drag me up
Ah, drops of gall from the sky
It is bitter in my mouth
Indignant wrath
Why are you so hot?
Raged ire
Why am I the one?
So at last before all the world
Little lad, this is your work
Or can it be by my lust?
For I stay long in the parlour of wrath.

About this poem

The poem is a monologue of a self-exalted drunkard who is being jeered from the bar, by a little boy. He is completely under the influence of alcohol as he staggers and drools. He is not aware of his vanity, he proves superiority to the boy who enjoys his play of mockery after him. The little boy follows him as far as he enjoys, touching and holding the hem of his cloth. He is being bothered and angered at the boy's trouble, so he staggers to chase him off, but fails and loses his balance and fell. He cries on the ground with his skin opened, and redish outburst of pain. At this point, he is subconscious between hallucination and his conscience assessing the cause of his humiliation, whether it is the boy's fault or his long stay in the parlour of wrath...
