Radio Days

The shock waves came first
Like crushing blows
A moment played before my eyes
Like special effects
As sound waves washed over me in yowls

Soundlessly slipping
Mumbling sotto voce
Falling into void
Days painted in oblivion

Then came the soulful days
The everlasting radio days
Soul music, no sinew
Soliloquy

Seeing from a telescope
Hearing from a distance
A body with half a soul

About this poem

This is a poetry piece about loss. The sadness that comes to one after the loss of a loved one. How powerful the emotions can be.
