My Scientific Discovery

You, my discovery hid in the future
No you haven’t been made
Weirdly here you are
in my mind you fail to fade

Science and theories
baffle me as such
But what baffles me most
is how I miss you so much

Everyone has their treasures
the ones they safely keep
The ones they keep an eye on
even in their sleep

They twiddle and behold them
they can name their every atom
My unknown treasure in hiding
your verity I still can’t fathom

I picture you to be beautiful
your decorations my museum
A reflection of my greatest
a frequency of my medium

Where are you my little discovery?
I’m bit of a hopeless scientist
I’ve yet to find the spot marked X
and my hopes turn to mist

My little scientific discovery
please call out my name
Or just come a little closer
my yearns soon no longer tame

About this poem

This is my rendition of the perspective of hopeless romantics who are still in search of their destined paramour.
