He is a lion that roared against hate speech
He is an elephant that fought against racism
He is a buffalo that brought freedom to all
He is a rhinoceros that brought education to all
He is a leopard that created one rainbow nation
You spent 27 years in prison fighting for our independence
You spent 27 years in prison trying to secure the future of our country
You spent 27 years in Robben Island fighting for racial equality
You spent 27 years in Robben Island fighting for freedom and salvation
Today we are the slay kings and queens because you Tata Madiba
We are the pride of our mother country South Africa
We are independent and free from racism
We are the future generation of Africa
It is you who inspire us and will continue to do so in the future.
