Living

Kripa Johnson 2002 (Iritty)

She was a kid once,
living in light
She grew in dark
When people stepped on her dreams
She became dreamless
She entered a world
She put a wall infront of her
No one could break
She lived
In her world

Being with people
But not really together
Open book in outside
But closed inside
Smiling outside
But crying inside
No one knows
No one cared
Her mind betrayed her
She lost herself
Self grudge grew to self mutilation

She found love inside a creature
Knowing her weakness
The creature slowly destroyed her
Her heart became like a shattered glass
Her mood swings were highly recognisable
Yet none came to help
She lived

Her mind decided to destroy itself
Found all the possible ways
She became a masochist
And satisfied the mind
Part of her mind begged to get help
She met creatures
Asked for help
Some got scared
Some used her
And left her
She lived

Her mind became her enemy
She tried to sink in the darkness
She was caught
Current was passed to her brain
She shrank more to darkness
She became silenced
Her agony was not recognised
There is no cure for her
Dead but living
With a hope that light returns.
