I DID IT LORD

Yes! I did it Lord,
The nails, my perfect choice.
That crown, don't ask God, I made it.

Truly! I did that act, that face, yes I spat on it. with my cursed hands, I made that cross. Within my grace period, the crucification act.

Crucify Him! crucify Him!, my voice indeed. the accusations, my plot and my draft, I did it Lord, yes i did it.

Behold the blood, behold the tears, behold the fresh wounds. All my cause, my cause indeed.

On that dry wood, hot tears ran down so fast, as the scene unveiled, blood oozed like a river, then the thunder roared.

The dry tree shed hot tears, the load was too heavy. The load also shed bitter blood, the sins were too heavy, sins for this dying soul.

Please don't ask Lord, I did it all. I have come to the same ancient hill, hoping to meet the greatest lover, the lover of the greatest sinners. Please forgive me.

About this poem

A repenting Sinner not only looks at his sin but is deeply moved by the suffering of Jesus Christ, he considers himself as taking part in the crucification act itself, in deep sorrow he cries for pardon.
